How to run this test

  1. Open this page in Safari on the iPhone.
  2. Share → Add to Home Screen.
  3. Open it from the Home Screen icon, not from Safari. The row above must say yes — the storage exemption only applies to installed apps.
  4. Close it. Do not open it again for eight days.
  5. Open it from the icon. Read the verdict.

Airplane mode does not matter. This never touches the network after the first load.
